Nonviolent Communication Weekend Intensive

Fall of 2025     Sonoma county

THE WEEKEND is designed to support the integration of the consciousness and practice of Nonviolent Communication and weave them deeply into the way we each show up in our lives, relationships, communities, and the world.

OUR VISION is to support a transition to a world where people know how to collaborate with each other in order to care for the whole of life. The invitation is to commit to nonviolence as the guiding force behind everything we say and do, becoming a living embodiment of our deepest human longings.

INNOCENCE

Assuming trust that everything human beings are doing or saying is an attempt to meet their human needs, no different than our own.

JOY

Reclaiming our innate state of flow; the freedom to follow, our aliveness and creativity, and what most excites our spirit.

VULNERABILITY

Embracing our needs and longings with radical compassion, while accepting not-knowing whether they will be met or not. Recovering our sense of mattering as inherent to our needs being an expression of life.

TRUTH
Connecting to our authentic experience in every given moment, aligning how we show up with our inner reality.

FREEDOM
Grounding in our inner authority - our innate freedom to make autonomous choices, internally motivated by our needs, values, purpose and care for the whole.

INTERDEPENDENCE
Unconditional Receiving: reclaiming our trust in being cared for by others, and in the sufficiency of resources to care for the whole of life.
Unconditional Giving: accessing our natural generosity and joy of giving. Orienting to service of others and life.

RETREAT HIGHLIGHTS
Participants will have the opportunity, through modeling and roleplaying, to apply this shift in consciousness to situations of interest, from the personal, interpersonal, and collective levels.

The sessions will combine large and small groups. We will use whatever arises in the field to experiment with and embody the consciousness.

We will learn with and from each other, while in communion surrounded by the beauty of Sonoma County.  In addition, the magnificent Russian River, along with the quaint towns of Sebastopol, Santa Rosa, Petaluma, and Healdsburg are each within a 15-35 minute drive away.

FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION
$550-$1100 sliding scale

We recognize the challenge of being truly inclusive in a time of much polarization both domestically and globally, and want to welcome participants from less privileged and marginalized populations.

If you don't have access to resources, and are drawn to our retreat offering, please contact us to discuss what you are willing and able to contribute, even if it is below the requested minimum.

Our sliding scale supports our capacity to sustain our work and continue to serve. It also helps us include those without the financial resources to participate.

If you have the resources and willingness to do so, please consider contributing at the higher end of the scale and beyond.

If you need help with discernment or have questions please contact Aya

In order to secure a place register and send your contribution via Venmo, Zelle or Check.

All fees are refundable minus a 15% administration fee if cancellation is made no later than May 21st, 2025.
